TMGD Mühendislik ghs clp nedir

GHS/CLP markings stand for Global Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. Previously, the use of different labels and signs according to the countries in the use of chemicals caused confusion. For this reason, in 1992, under the leadership of the United Nations (UN), the International Labor Organization (ILO), and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), studies for the GHS/CLP markings have started within the scope of classification and labeling of chemicals that are valid all over the world. Since 2013, these signs have been used within the scope of the “Regulation on Classification, Labeling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures” in Turkey within the scope of the European Union harmonization process.

Labels and markings for chemicals are determined by reference to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). This form consists of 16 sections and provides the chemical user with information about the manufacturer, content, first aid, storage, transportation information, etc. provides information on the subject. It is important to read and examine this form by the user before using the chemical.

GHS/CLP markings are also included in the REACH Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. As in the past in the CLP regulation, it is important to classify chemicals and label them accordingly. In addition to the CLP’ classification and labeling criteria, hazard symbols and hazard-precautionary statements are also included. Along with CLP, other obligations such as inventory notifications of chemicals have been added within the scope of KKDIK.
